Aluminum Ceramic Coating

Exhaust Header
Aluminum Ceramic Coatings have been formulated to meet the needs of high temperature corrosion and oxidation protection of metallic substrates.

This AirBorn Coating also provides sacrificial corrosion protection against over 1,000 hours of salt spray exposure. The coating provides galvanic protection by acting as a sacrificial anode relative to the substrate. The aluminum-ceramic matrix provides continuous protection up to 1,200 ° F (650 ° C) and will endure intermittent exposure to 1,500 ° F (815 ° C).

THE BENEFITS OF ALUMINUM CERAMIC COATINGS

Aluminum Coatings Provide:

Exhaust Header
  • CORROSION RESISTANCE
  • RAPID COOL DOWN
  • WON'T BLUE OR STAIN
  • HIGH LUSTER, POLISHED FINISH
  • LIFETIME GUARANTEE AGAINST RUST AND CORROSION

Ceramic Coatings Provide:

3 Exhaust Headers
  • THERMAL BARRIER PROPERTIES REDUCE RADIANT TEMPERATURE
  • HIGH ABRASION RESISTANCE
  • INCREASED GAS VELOCITIES
  • REDUCED UNDER HOOD TEMPERATURES
  • HORSEPOWER GAINS AVERAGING 2%
ALUMINUM-CERAMIC EXHAUST COATINGS... ABLE TO TAKE THE HEAT OF THE COMPETITION
Airborn Coatings has become a leader in serving the racing industry. With three state of the art facilities that provide the highest quality of surface treatments and finishes.  Airborn Coating's name has grown fast with its influence on the racing industry and their logo can now be seen on many of today's hottest competitors.
The diversity AirBorn Coatings has shown in the racing arena has brought it's name to typical racing scenes such as circle tracks and drag strips to unconventional venues such as swamp buggy racing, street machine racing, offshore boat racing, and just about everywhere else something is being raced. The benefits of coating exhaust components for corrosion resistance and thermal protection are widely recognized.

AirBorn Coatings employees have been working with aluminum-ceramics for more than twenty years, and they are racers themselves who constantly test processes for added values and benefits. When you're looking for thermal barriers and corrosion resistant coatings for exhausts, look to AirBorn Coatings - give yourself the edge to help stay ahead of the competition!

Powder Coating

Painting with Powder

No Drips, No Runs, No ErrorsThe popularity of powder coating in street rod construction is growing rapidly these days. It seems more and more street rodders are opting to powder coat their chassis, suspension, and underhood parts than ever before. The use of powder coating technology in the industrial field has been around for a long time, and the benefits of this refinish method are now being realized in the automotive aftermarket as well. Street rodders have found that powder coatings are extremely durable and perform well when it comes to resisting cracking, chipping, and peeling. Plus it's abrasion, corrosion, and chemical resistant to boot. Heck, if it's good enough for rocket and missile casings, it may just be good enough for Deuce frames and IFS components, wouldn't you think?
